1. Information we collect

- Tonewood and measurement content: sample names and serials, species and use, dimensions, weight, density, sound speed, resonance and spectrum results, moisture, temperature, humidity, scores, notes, and visibility settings.

2. How we use information
We use this information to create and protect accounts, sync profiles and samples, perform acoustic calculations, save measurement history, generate shareable measurement records and rankings, respond to support requests, and maintain service security and reliability.
3. Service providers and sharing
ToneWood uses Supabase for authentication, database, and file storage. Apple processes sign-in credentials when you use Sign in with Apple. We transfer only necessary information to providers that operate ToneWood and are subject to applicable data-protection obligations.
When you make a sample public, public pages show only structured measurement data such as its serial number, wood classification, use, physical dimensions, test conditions, and acoustic analysis. Account profiles, notes, raw recordings, and uploaded images are not included in public records. You can turn off public visibility in the app. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect users and the service.
4. Retention, deletion, and security
Account-linked data is generally retained until you delete the content or account. Deleting an account in the app removes its identity record, associated database records, and account-owned recordings and avatar files. Backup copies may remain for a limited period required for security, abuse prevention, or legal obligations. You may contact support to confirm deletion status.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
5. Your choices and rights
You can edit your profile, control sample visibility, withdraw microphone or photo permission, and delete your account from Profile in the app. Depending on applicable law, you may also request access, correction, export, restriction, or deletion of personal information.
6. Children, international processing, and updates
ToneWood is intended for luthiers and related professional users and is not directed to children under 13. Our service providers may process data outside your country or region using safeguards required by applicable law.
We may update this policy as features or legal requirements change. We will post the new effective date here and provide appropriate notice of material changes.
